NEWTOWN TRADEGY: Superintendent Reassures Parents | News
In the wake of the Newtown school tragedy, one superintendent comforted parents assuring them protocols where in place in their area.
Waukee parents received an email from Superintendent, David Wilkerson stating:
We are saddened to learn about the devastating reports coming from an elementary school in Connecticut. As we hear such news we are reminded how important it is for our district and all of our schools to provide the safest possible learning environments for our students and staff.
Please know that the Waukee Community School District has safety and crisis protocols in place. We will continue to be vigilant in our efforts to keep our students and schools safe.
