SEAT FILLED: Council Votes In New Member | Community Spirit
The Waukee City Council voted unanimously to appoint Isaiah McGee to fulfill the vacant City Council seat at the May 6th City Council meeting.
McGee took the seat with immediate effect and will hold it until the term's expiration on December 31st, 2013.
The City Council solicited letters of interest for the vacant seat in April and reviewed applications during the April 29, 2013 special meeting.
Mayor Bill Peard said "I am pleased with the process that we used to fill the vacant council seat and the selection. Isaiah recently served as a Councilmember and will be able to hit the ground running during an important time of development within the City. I look forward to working with him over the next several months."
